Ram Charan Bulks Up For The Telugu Remake Of ‘Thani Oruvan’

Superstar Ram Charan is all set to play a super buff cop in his next release, which is a remake of the Tamil blockbuster Thani Oruvan. The Tamil version had Jayam Ravi in the lead and now fans will see Chiranjeevi’s son fill those shoes in the Telugu rendition.

Latest reports have it that the actor has started training and is on a rigorous workout regime to pull off the role. The Bruce Lee star’s routine comprises of lifting weights, cycling, sprinting and muscle building.2027203

To supplement the bulking up process in the gym, Ram has also tweaked his diet. The actor has been consuming more of egg whites, salads and a protein shake, excluding rice completely, in order to look all buff as a cop.

This Telugu version will also see Shruti Hassan as the lead for Nayanthara’s role in the original. Directed by Surender Reddy, the project has tentatively been titled Rakshak and is expected to hit the screens sometime later this year.
