Raj Pavilion Presents Passport to Portugal

Despite only occupying a small space on the map, Portugal has played a key role in the cultural and geographical mapping of the world, thanks to the Portuguese explorers who completed the world’s first circumnavigation.

Since then, the country has both inspired, and taken inspiration from the neighbouring areas and beyond to reinvent some classic recipes.

Raj Pavilion Presents Passport to Portugal

Compactly situated at the doorstep of the Atlantic Ocean, this Southern
European country on the Iberian Peninsula has a legendary history and
reverence for its choice range of seafood, wines and desserts. Famous for
its seafood treasures, Portuguese cuisine is largely influenced by its
former colonies, especially in the wide variety of spices used.

This June, the chefs at ITC Windsor are prepping to serve a buffet that is
reminiscent of the Portuguese Riviera. On the menu will be favourites
including Caldo Verde, Pastéis de Peixe, Spicy Piri Piri Lamb with fresh
coriander, Frango Assado, Curried Lamb Samosa with Spicy Chilli sauce,
Salad de Grao de Bico, Carne de Porco à Alaentejana, Portuguese Cabbage and Bean Stew. With mouth-watering desserts like Arroz Doce, Pastel De Nata, Caramel Custard, the buffet spread is sure to enthral everyone!
