Kohli Is Now HRAWI’s President

Kohli is the owner of the restaurant Pritam in Mumbai along with Pritam Da Dhaba and Hotel Midtown Pritam which were established in the 1980s. “HRAWI has been the industry’s voice in championing its progress, in liasioning with the governments and has been a pillar of support for its members,” said Kohli while speaking to the F&B News.

“Over the last couple of years, HRAWI has ceaselessly worked towards alleviating many hurdles that the industry faced, ranging from the highway liquor ban to the recent plastic ban. Simultaneously we also supported and led the way for FSSAI’s several food safety training and certification programmes across the Western region. We also introduced a first-of-its-kind independent classification system in India that follows the global practice of trade bodies for rating hotels,” he added.

Talking about his role after taking over as president of HRAWI, Kohli told F&B News that “From here, it is my intent to complement the efforts made so far by the association and maintain the momentum. I also hope to engage with the government, concerned authorities and other trade bodies as best as possible for the benefit of our fraternity. We will focus on resolving issues that are potential hindrances to the industry’s growth and will align efforts to best address and meet our members’ needs.”
