Pink Prosecco Flavored Cheese Is Now On The Market

on

Alcohol flavored food products are nothing new. You’ve got booze flavored ice cream, candy, and even something called rum ham (?). However, nothing is as extra as this millennial pink, prosecco flavored cheese that I’m sure everyone under the age of 30 is salivating over.

Created by The Great British Cheese Company the prosecco cheese is an addition to their range of flavored Waxed Cheese Truckles. Just FYI, it’s not all prosecco, it’s actually “Prosecco and Raspberry with Wensleydale cheese”.

The Flavor Profile

Speaking to Pretty 52 on the flavor inspiration, a spokesperson for the company said, “You’ve probably heard of the popular at Christmas classic, Wensleydale with Cranberries. Wensleydale has a supple and crumbly texture and a milky freshness, paired with fruit such as Cranberries, the acidity cuts through rich cheese resulting in a balanced flavor.”

The idea to pair Prosecco and Raspberry with Wensleydale produces the same savoury, sweet and acidic flavor combinations. Crumbly but milky Wensleydale, sweetness from Raspberries and the acidity from Prosecco produces a creamy but sweet raspberry flavored cheese, with the Prosecco acidity cutting through your palette as you taste the cheese.”

Well, it probably doesn’t hurt that prosecco is immensely popular in the UK (according to the rom-com’s I’ve read), either way, it’s worth a try?
