Philz Coffee is poured out $15M, hot and steaming.

Most offices in Silicon Valley are familiar with Philz Coffee. For the rest of us, they’re an office coffee company started by Phil Jaber, headed now by his son, Jacob Jaber (CEO). There’s 18 shops in the San Francisco Bay Area and one outpost in Los Angeles, so far. Including one at Facebook’s Menlo Park Headquarters at the request of Mark Zuckerberg himself! 

They’re known for their Mint Mojitos, friendly baristas and handmade coffee experiences. 

Moving on to their recent funding, Philz Coffee has closed on $15 million in a new round of funding. Participating in the round are Cowboy Ventures, Crunchfund, Yahoo chairman Maynard Webb, Facebook exec Mike Schroepfer, former Apple and J.C. Penney exec Ron Johnson, actors Jonah Hill, Lawrence Bender, and Jamie Kennedy, and rapper and investor Snoop Dogg. Now there’s a fine blend! 

The money will be used for geographical expansion- beyond California and at least 10 more locations nationwide by the end of 2015.
