Perch In Style With Some Delicious Wine & Dine At Perch Khan Market

on

‘Hi, Take a seat. Take a sip. Take your time.’

Wine and caffeine lovers of Delhi, this one’s for you! Rejoice as the food scape of Khan Market has been blessed with a wine and coffee bar, Perch. Choose from a wide range of wines to sip on while you munch on some ridiculously delicious noshes.

Perched with much poise on the first and second floor in Khan Market, the restaurant welcomes you with an enchanting wrought iron door adorned with greens that lead you to a flight of wooden stairs running up to the café.

A Tuscan Feel

Have you ever imagined a beautiful holiday home or cabin on the outskirts of a European city? Perch is every bit of your imagination. The restaurant has a very Tuscan villa feel to it with the ivory walls, wooden furniture, tall French windows and dreamy white interiors. DSC_0085

We seated ourselves on tall wooden chairs facing the french window that overlooked the thriving streets of Khan Market. The heavens agreed with our visit and blessed the Capital with a scenic monsoon shower – add a huge French window and a glass of red to that picture and you’ll know why we are gushing like a newly wed bride! DSC_0088

Splendid Grubs

Perch’s menu – which has been expertly crafted by Chef Abhimanyu – prides itself with a collection of small bites, large platters, salads and lunch specials.

The restaurant has a good wine collection and serves red, white and rosé by the bottle and glass as well. And it does not end there. Nope. The restaurant also offers a variety of Perch Signature Cocktails; Wine-not-Wine cocktails – concoctions with wine and other spirits; and some non-wine base poisonous blends too.

In addition to the fabulous food and potent spirits, the menu showcases an extensive tea and coffee section that includes some of the best brews from the world over.DSC_0064

What We Had:

Braised Pork Mango & Melon Salad

With plum and ginger dressing and housemade pork scratching

This salad struck the perfect balance between sweet and salty. The pork was succulent and perfectly cooked; the fruits were fresh and juicy and the dressing left a lingering flavor of ginger on our palates, which we washed down with a glass of Cabernet Chiraz.DSC_0073

Buffalo Mozzarella

With grilled asparagus & tomato, olive & onion salsa

After the braised pork experience we’d expected nothing less than a perfectly done salad. We stood corrected because what we got served was way above our expectations! The plushy mozzarella balls complemented the crunchy asparagus and juicy tomatoes perfectly. In addition to that, the fresh salsa added the right amount of tanginess to the salad that went dreamily well with our chilled glass of Sula Rosé.DSC_0091
