Pepsi Perfect Is Here To Take You Back To The Future

on

Remember Marty McFly from ‘Back To The Future’? Devoted fans will recall that the character travelled to the future in the October of 2015. And they will no doubt remember the scene where the actor walks into a diner in the second part of the trilogy to order a Pepsi and is served a ‘Pepsi Perfect’ instead.

Going Back To The Future

Since the future is now – literally, going by the movie – PepsiCo has decided to let fans have a limited edition Pepsi Perfect bottle of their own.

“Fans have always been a little crazy about it,” says Lou Arbetter, PepsiCo’s senior director of marketing, speaking about the scene in the film where the beverage is delivered to McFly’s table through a high-tech inflated tube, “and so we wanted to take advantage of the fact that Marty travelled to the future, to this month, and wanted to actually come out with the product.”1460891749400667432

Fizz Details

Pepsi plans on rolling out just 6500 bottles of the limited edition drink, which will be sold only until stocks last. The bottle will cost you a hefty sum of $20.15 for the 16.9 ounce (500ml) bottle. And if you think that’s expensive just think about the fact that poor Marty had just $50 in his pocket.theres-still-plenty-of-time-for-pepsi-to-come-out-with-pepsi-perfect-this-year

Talking about the taste, there is nothing exciting there. The drink will have the cold drink’s signature taste. The only change being that it’ll be made with real sugar.

Out Soon

The memorabilia will be up for sale online but the company recommends that fans keep their eyes glued to Pepsi’s social media handles around the launch date – 21st October – to know where all they can obtain Pepsi Perfect.

For the impatient fans, Pepsi will be distributing 1500 Pepsi Perfect bottle ahead of its release during the New York Comic Con.pepsi-perfect-2015
