Cornitos Launches Ready To Eat Refried Beans

GreenDot Health Foods, the parent company of popular nacho brand Cornitos has just launched a new product – ‘Refried Beans’ in keeping with their Mexican range of fare. The beans are meant to complement the brand’s Taco Dinner Kit.

Started in 2009, GreenDot falls under the GC Group of companies, a manufacturer and exporter in India. GreenDot was the brainchild of Vikram Agarwal who wanted to take the family run GC group of Companies into the FMCG sector.

Agarwal introduced Cornitos to the Indian market in 2009. Today, they are popular snacks in India and are exported to Dubai, China, the USA, Sri Lanka and Nepal.

Looking Past Cornitos

In mid-2015, the company entered into the ready to eat segment with the launch of Taco shells.

With the launch of refried beans, the brand is expanding its range of ready to eat products. Each packet costs Rs. 70 (for 150 grams) and can be used to fill 6 tacos or as a quesadilla filling or a side dish for a Mexican meal.

The beans are available across India in retail stores.
