Paper Boat, known for its range of ethnic drinks, has announced that it will be launching thandai and spiced buttermilk soon. These drinks will come just in time for the turn of season; they’re considered popular summer drinks.
Hector Beverages first tested thandai in Delhi last year. The thandai has been made in traditional style with cardamom, fennel, black pepper, almonds, melon seeds and khus khus.

“Paper Boat Thandai is more than a drink. It’s a promise to refresh your fondest memories. It’s an instant energy-booster, and the melon seeds are enriched with proteins, iron and vitamins,” said Neeraj Kakkar, chief executive officer and founder, Hector Beverages.
“We saw very good response for thandai last year. So this year, we have significantly scaled it up. It will be available in modern trade outlets and other key retail outlets in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh for the Holi season (March),” said Parvesh Debuka, Marketing Head, Hector Beverages.
Meanwhile, Hector Beverages is looking at taking its neer more – or butter milk – to Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in the coming months. It first launched the buttermilk in Tamil Nadu.
Additionally, the company is looking at expanding its distrubution of chikki and adding more ethnic snacks to its packaged foods portfolio.
