Papa John’s Plans To Expand To 100 Outlets In India This Year

India has no dearth of fast food chains that serve pizza, with brands like Domino’s and Pizza Hut having a magnificent presence across the country. Now, another international pizza brand; Papa John’s is looking at rapidly expanding across the country.

A Little About Papa John’s

Papa John’s is an international pizza brand which opened 30 years ago in Indiana. Today, it has over 4,600 outlets across 34 countries.


Papa John’s has 65 outlets in South India and in Maharashtra. Recently, it was in the news for supporting a donation drive held for flood victims in Chennai.

Rumours Of Expansion

According to a report in the Business Standard, the chain is planning to increase its number of outlets in India to 100.


“We are planning to add another 30 outlets to reach 100 outlets by the end of this year. The expansion will be in southern and western markets,” said Joseph Cherian the CEO of Papa John’s India to Business Standard.

To facilitate the expansion, the brand is looking at ways to raise funds.
