Strange, but true. There’s ice pancakes floating in Scotland’s waters.
Unfortunately they are not edible. Although we wish they were. This strange phenomenon is explained by The River Dee Trust, as being formed because of eddies in the river. As freezing foam swirled, they froze into little disks. Also found in Antarctica and in the Great Lakes when the condition is right. However as of now River Dee looks like a bed of pancakes we would love to jump into.
