Now that you’ve welcomed in 2017 and (hopefully) recovered from your Christmas and New Year’s Eve revelry, we thought we’d introduce you to some of the new restaurants you can look forward to this month. Last year, Mumbai saw a plethora of new restaurants opening, and we’re sure this year will boast the same. Here are a few names to keep your eye out for.
Amanzi Sky Deck and Bar
Mumbai has no dearth of fine dining restaurants, but poolside restaurants are few and far between. Amanzi Sky Deck and Bar will try to fill that space. It comes for the owners of 14 Sauce Story in Andheri and will focus on grills, bakes and wood fired pizzas. The bar, meanwhile will serve fresh fruit cocktails and tiki drinks.
Shizusan is a popular Asian restaurant in Pune. This month, it will be arriving in Mumbai with sushi bars, a dim sum kitchen studio and serving a range of Pan Asian fare.
Toast & Tonic
Another import, this time from Bangalore is Toast & Tonic, owned by Chef Manu Chandra. In Bangalore, Toast & Tonic serves international gastropub fare and classic cocktails; we imagine the same would feature on the brand’s Mumbai menu.
Verbena Brew Pub & Sky Garden
Kamala Mills will get yet another watering hole; Verbena Brew Pub & Sky Garden will brew its own beers, serve Mediterranean, organic, oriental and healthy fare and will even have a section of the restaurant which replicates a farm.
The Stables will be a gastropub opposite The Leela in Marol. Already, a popular gastro pub in Dubai, The Stables has an equestrian theme with a rustic vibe.
Pravas will be another addition to the Kamala Mills food scene this month; it will serve authentic Guajarati, Maharashtrian and South Indian food.
La Folie Lab
Another addition to Kamala Mills will be a familiar name; another outpost of La Folie Lab which will focus on single estate coffee and – of course- delicious desserts.
After enjoying the Freakshakes and vibe at 145 in Kala Ghoda, you can now head to a 145 in Bandra which will have similar menu.
