We All Need This Pizza Dress For Our Parties! #POLL

on

We’ve all heard the saying “we are what we eat”, right? How about we tweak that into “ we wear what we eat”? Because that is exactly what you’ll want to do after seeing this pizza gown created by Olivia Mears from AvantGeek, North Carolina. No, it’s not your next Halloween costume, unless of course you have to go to prom after trick o treating, because that’s how gorgeous the gown is!

Mears went a step ahead to show her love for pizza and dived right into prom season with a truly inspiration deign on her back. Of course, the designer is past the Prom phase, but did that stop her from creating THE most head-turning, jaw-dropping, and innovative dress of the season? No.

The dress is a classic strapless ball gown with a heavy skirt and a tapered bustier, both of which feature a pizza print complete with colossal pepperonis, some mushroom, peppers, and cheese. But our favourite part without a doubt is the hem of the skirt that is extra puffed to replicate the look and feel of a fluffy pizza crust. Also, are we the only ones to think the gown looks an uncanny lot like Belle’s gorgeous yellow gown from Beauty & The Beast? Of course, we’d pick Mears creation over what Belle wore, any day!Take a look and you’ll understand why.

I created a dress that dreams are made of. If only I’d had this for my prom. ✨?✨ #pizzadress made & worn by me.

Speaking of Belle, this isn’t Olivia’s first food-inspired creation. Late last year, for Halloween no less, the designer shared a picture of a taco inspired yellow gown that she had created and which featured huge tacos along the circumference of the ball gown skirt. This too was a yellow creation complete with Belle-like details including yellow elbow length gloves and yellow off-shoulder straps with white frills. Again, we’d pick this “Taco Belle” (sheer genius) over the original at any given time. Sorry Emma Watson!
