Mumbai has no dearth of seafood restaurants which dish out delicious fresh catch. Now, the city has got its first ever floating restaurant at the Maharashtra Maritime Board’s jetty under the Bandra Worli Sea Link. The AB Celestial has been ready since 2014, but has just been opened to the public after clearing several permission hurdles.
The AB Celestial was inaugurated by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis last Saturday.
It’s a three story boat with a sky deck, two galleys, an all-day coffee shop, a sky lounge, a lounge bar and a banquet hall. It can accommodate over 600 guests at a time. Meals served will be European and Continental and the cost for two people would be approximately Rs.5000.
The AB Celestial is docked off the Bandra harbour and offers a 360 degree view of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea.
It has been developed by the Maharashtra Tourist Development Corporation in association with WB International Consultant and AB Hospitality.
