Move Over Patanjali, Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s MSG Food Range Is Here!
Baba Ramdev among numerous other things (like doing yoga in public – with or without Shilpa Shetty) is famous for his range of food and lifestyle products under the name ‘Patanjali’. The yoga enthusiast dissuades consumers from consuming products that are not Indian and organic.
But if latest reports are to be believed, Ramdev’s Patanjali, that according to certain market experts is already posing a threat to established brands, will soon be facing strong competition itself. And once again, it’s the MSG that he’ll be fighting against. Don’t worry, our noodles our safe!
Swadeshi & Organic
The “famous” Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim is stepping foot in the market. He has a range of food products that are also ‘swadeshi and organic’, like the aforementioned Patanjali.
Who Ram Rahim you ask? Are you crazy? Shut up before they arrest you too! Ok ok, we’ll tell you. Remember the bush-beared dude sitting on a monstrous bike on a poster slapped with the letter ‘MSG’ in bold capitals? Yeah, the love ‘charzer’ guy.
“Our motive is not to compete with anyone in the market,” he said. “However, we appeal to other companies that they come up with organic products too, so the people of our nation can become healthier.”
Rahim who is also the MSG brand ambassador (of course), has obtained a legal agreement from the manufacturer that allows him to step down from the position if any complaint stems up regarding the quality of the products.
However, there is little possibility of such an occurrence since the company provides “organic, premium and standard-quality” products, he emphasized.
“When I was in Maharashtra for some time, I found farmers injecting chemicals into vegetables, and using toxic sprays and pesticides that are harmful to both man and animal,” he said at the press meet.
“After that, they would harvest the crop the very next day for a hurried sale. It was then that I decided to enter the business of providing organic food to the people”, he added.
Staying faithful to his land, MSG has had the raw material for the products cultivated on Dera land, aiding farmers in accordance with the firm’s strict quality standards.
Company chairman CP Arora said the products have been launched concurrently in national as well as international markets and about 150 stores have already been piloted.
In addition to India, MSG All-Trading International Private Limited has established dealership proposals from countries, including the UK, US, Australia, Canada and Germany, he added.
In other news, Nestlé is confused why their MSG induced products were banned.
