Mirinda Joosy by PepsiCo Is Made Completely From Locally Sourced Oranges

on

PepsiCo is coming back strong in India with Mirinda Joosy which is made completely from locally sourced oranges. The fizzy drink, which was launched today, is evidence of the journey which PepsiCo has made towards sourcing more fruit pulp from India, and honestly, we’re all for it!

Here’s The Scoop

An extension of popular drink, Mirinda, the orange fizzy drink is sure to be a hit in the subcontinent. “The launch of Mirinda Joosy is a reiteration of PepsiCo India’s commitment to partnering the government’s effort of catalysing the carbonated fruit drinks category to benefit Indian farmers by adding 5 percent natural juice to carbonated beverages.” PepsiCo said in a statement.

For now, Mirinda Joosy will be available in Tamil Nadu and you can buy it at the price of Rs. 35 for a 500ml bottle. This project means that PepsiCo has had to invest more in the citrus market. They have partnered up with the Maharashtra government for developing a citrus ecosystem in the state, invested in a citrus facility in Nanded, and come up with an agreement with citrus farmers.
