Last seen as ‘Robby’ in The Spotlight, Michael Keaton proved that he won’t stop till he drops. The man is back again with yet another powerful movie – The Founder. And it’s not just the heavy bass soundtrack that makes it so.
The Founder is a biopic that shows the journey of how a 52-year-old milkshake seller merge his business sense with a burger outlet and become a real estate magnate, a.k.a. Ray Kroc, the McFounder of – you guessed it – the McDonald’s franchisee. He owned just the franchisee, by the way, not McDonald’s. Or did he? Watch the trailer and you’ll know what we mean.
The movie shows the uphill journey of Kroc in a rather dark light; a lot like The Wolf of Wall Street and even The Social Network. But rumor has it; dark lighting can actually make people look good!
Directed by John Lee Hancock, the movie is slated to release this August and also stars Nick Offerman and John Lee Hancock as the McDonald brothers – Richard & Maurice McDonald.
