McDonald’s Outlets In The US Are Making A Massive Change In The Way They Serve Food

on

A typical McDonald’s experience across the world involves the customer placing their order at the service counter, waiting until it is served and then carrying it back to their table. Indeed, this how most QSR chains operate.

However, McDonald’s is planning to drastically change that experience by introducing table service.

McDonald’s Orders To Your Table

With the introduction of table service, McDonald’s employees will take your orders  and deliver the food to your table; much like how a regular restaurant works. According to reports, the chain has already begun testing table service at 500 of its restaurants in the US.

Following successful trials, the chain plans to roll out the table service across the US starting with San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and Washington.

“This is a significant step change for us as a business,” Steve Easterbrook, the company’s CEO, told Crain’s. “It’s a totally different mindset to which we’re adapting. [The overhauls] are not about being a different McDonald’s, it’s about being a better McDonald’s that remains true to who we are and yet evolve with the times.”

Other recent changes in McDonald’s in the US this year were never-frozen beef patties and the use of preservative free chicken.
