According to a study funded by Kinin, a Japanese Wasabi company, wasabi can help repair hair damage and generate growth.

The study found that the wasabi plant contains isosaponarin, a chemical which can strengthen papilla cells in the scalp with facilitate hair growth. According to the researchers, wasabi is more effective than commercial hair-growth products.

However, if you’re going to try this, make sure it’s real wasabi you have stocked and not imitation wasabi made with horse radish. Are you going to give it a try?
