Local Brewery In New Mexico Becomes The First To Compost 100 Percent Food Material

Albuquerque in New Mexico has a local brewery by the name the Bosque Brewery and according to a report by KRQE News 13, it’s the first to compost all of its food materials used. The brewery has accomplished this feat with the help of the local company solutions.

Composting And Encouraging Others Too

The Bosque Brewery which has two outlets, one at Nob Hill and the other close to Balloon Fiesta Park are hoping that the others would be inspired by them. The report said that the brewery intends to the local trailblazers so as to encourage other businesses to stop the wastage of food.

“It’s great and we can even compost everything from our tickets, like our receipt paper, all of our boxes, all of our cups. So it’s not just food. It’s every paper product as well, napkins and all that kind of stuff,” said Bosque sous chef, Jessica Barfield to the publication.

One of the local companies that has been helping the city businesses compost more than 3000 cubic tons of waste is Soilutions. Their website claims that many local shops like The Grove, People’s Flowers and Humble Coffee also compost with them.
