Lap Up A Global Fare At Café Coffee Day’s International Burger Carnival

on

Indian coffee giant Café Coffee Day is popular for a lot of things. Whether it’s their iconic Chicken 65 sandwich, the shot-sized desserts, the towering glass of Devil’s Own and Iced Eskimo or a simple cup of cappuccino, the coffee shop never disappoints. Living up to its speckles image, CCD has introduced an exciting new burger menu dubbed The Epic International Burger Carnival!

True to its tagline that reads “bite into an explosion of flavours”, the menu has something for every palate. From a classic American burger to an authentic African pepper burger, CCD is doing it all.

The burgers come as mini slider-sized snacks, with one platter holding two sliders each. You can pick from 6 variants (3 vegetarian and 3 non-vegetarian), or choose and make a mixed platter where either both the burgers are vegetarian or both non-vegetarians. Made with the freshest of ingredients and buns hot out of the oven, the burger variants draw three diverse global cuisines, namely American, Egyptian, and African.

We hopped over to our nearest Café Coffee Day to pamper our palate with some gorgeous sliders, and here’s what we think.

What We Had:

American Classic

The American Classic slider was a shower of delicious flavours on my palate. It was everything that a classic American burger should have. Right from a perfectly crisp chicken patty that oozed with flavor and oven fresh buns that were just the right amount of crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, to fresh crunchy lettuce and generous amounts of mayonnaise, it was the perfect reflection of the Eagle.

Egyptian Roast

Being a major sucker for Egyptian and Mediterranean fare (read, hummus and falafel), the Egyptian Roast was the one burger that I really wanted to try. And it is absolutely safe to say that what I sank my teeth into, didn’t disappoint at all! The burger was just as I had dreamed of. And so much more. The bun – which was still steaming hot, by the way – and the juicy roasted chicken falafel teamed up perfectly. The added mayo, cheese, and tangy onion rings absolutely had us floored!

And, of course, we washed it all down with a tall glass of CCD’s delicious Café Frappe. Sheer delight.

In closing we’d like to – as we must – add that Café Coffee Day has outdone itself with the burgers. The menu isn’t anything you would’ve experienced at a CCD, which is precisely why you cannot miss it!
