Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress Is Up For Bites At This Chinese Restaurant

on

Remember Lady Gaga’s gut-wrenching ensemble for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, made completely out of raw animal meat? Yes, the famously infamous meat dress! The one that still gives animal rights activists nightmares. It has found its way back into the hot and trending column of our social media feeds.

Turns out it wasn’t enough to witness the outfit on Gaga, because a Beijing-based hot pot restaurant has gone ahead and included the dress as one of its menu items. Not the actual dress, of course, but a miniature version of it that comes fixed on a doll.

Now, if you’ve seen the Lady Gaga version of the abomination, you’d know what to expect from the preparation. Basically, it’s going to be multiple cold cuts wrapped around a poor doll. To eat it you just keep peeling off the layers and put into the hotpot. And of course, all this while the doll gets more “exposed” with every bite. Not the best idea for a family dinner probably.

Although, the pop icon finished off her meaty look with an equally raw headgear, clutch and shoes, the edible version at this restaurant comes only in the form of a floor-sweeping ball gown. No shoes and/or accessories. Have a look.

While most of the responses have been positive, a fair chunk of people found the, umm, dish and its style of presentation quite unimpressive and sexist. And some even had concerns about the hygiene of it all.
