Kurkure Will Launch 15 New Snacks As Well As A ‘Kurkure Family Express’ Food Train This May

Kurkure, a popular snack brand in India under the PepsiCo banner announced that it would be launching 15 new products to cater to Indian taste buds.

PepsiCo India launched Kurkure in 1999 – made from rice, corn, chickpea flour, salt, vegetable oil and spices the corn puffs quickly became an immensely popular snack. While Kurkure was first launched in India, it was sold in Pakistan from 2007 and is also available in Canada.

Kurkure has been advertised for by Juhi Chawla, Parineeti Chopra and Boman Irani.

The New Flavours

Kurkure is available in a range of flavours including Masala Munch, Green Chutney, Chili Chatka, Desi Beats, Butter Masti and Zig Zag.

Now, the brand has launched a new range of namkeens including South Tangy Twist, Chiwda Mix, Shahi Mix and Navratan Mix which will be available in 150 different packs at different price points.

Commenting on the new products, Partho Chakrabarti, the vice president of the snacks category a Pepsico India said “The last few months have been really exciting for Kurkure. We introduced a new range of namkeens and flavours to address diversity in palates, size preferences and budgets of Indian consumers and the initial response has been great.”

The Kurkure Family Express

Along with the new products, Kurkure has launched the Kurkure Family Express, a food train that will travel from Delhi to Sawai Madhopur, Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Tirupati, Chennai, Vijaywada,Bubbaneshwar, Kolkata, Mughalsarai and Kanpur Central and then back to Delhi. The train will give families the opportunity to spend the holiday season together in a food filled adventure; food personality Rocky Singh and Mayur Sharma will host the families and run recipe contests that will have the families competing with each other.

The train, which was launched by Parineeti Chopra and Kunal Kapoor will leave Delhi on May 16th.
