Kissan, a popular jam brand across India has just launched a new range of jams; the Blast range. This brings the total amount of jams in the brand’s portfolio up to seven.
A Little About Kissan
The Kissan brand was started in 1935, aiming to cater to British customers and tastes. The brand was then acquired by the UB group in 1950 and then taken over by Hindustan Unilever in 1993.
Over the years, the brand has become synonymous with jams and ketchup, being the go to choice for many Indian households. Popular products include the Chilli Tomato Sauce, the Fresh Tomato Ketchup and the Mixed Fruit Jam.
The Blast Range
To their jam portfolio, Kissan has just added new ‘Blast jams’. They become unique with their ‘Khatta Meetha’ flavour – the tagline for the new range is “Ab pao Fruits ka Khatta Meetha Blast Kissan ke saath!”
The three flavours in the range are the Kissan Strawberry Blast, the Kissan Berry Blast and the Kissan Orange Blast. While the Strawberry Blast is made with fresh strawberries, the Berry Blast combines black grapes, strawberries and blueberries Meanwhile the Orange Blast is made with real orange peels.
In a statement to the press, Abhiroop Chuckarbutty, the General Manager of Foods at Hindustan Unilever ocmmented “We, at Kissan, continue to innovate and create new products and flavours to make the lives of mothers easy in keeping pace with the changing palate of today’s children. Kissan Blast range of jams, is a healthy, wholesome and fruitful outcome of this continuous innovation. A mouth-watering combination of tangy and sweet taste, Kissan Blast is sure to bowl over the kids of today.”
The new jams are available in 320 gram packs and are priced between Rs. 99 – Rs.110.
