Kheema Sandwich Recipe

Made by stuffing mincemeat between slices of buttered bread, kheema sandwiches are a delicious treat that can be had as a snack or breakfast. They’re great while travelling!

While this recipe includes direction on how to prepare the kheema, you can use a leftover kheema curry to stuff the sandwiches as well.

Instructions
To cook the mince
  1. Sauté the ginger garlic paste, onions and green chillies in hot oil.
  2. Stir in the spice powders and sauté for two minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes and salt and sauté until the tomatoes soften.
  4. Stir in the minced meat and turn the flame of the stove down.
  5. Cover the pan with a lid and allow the meat to cook until the water evaporates.
  6. Stir occasionally so the meat doesn't burn.
  7. Once the meat cooks, stir in the coriander leaves.
  8. Take the meat of the stove and allow it to cool.
  9. In the meantime, spread butter over the bread slices on both sides.
  10. On a tawa, toast the bread to allow the butter to seep in.
  11. Then, stuff two slices off the bread with the mincemeat.
  12. Toast the bread in a sandwich maker,
  13. Serve and enjoy!
