The Frosted Flakes Story
Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, which are sugar coated corn flakes were launched in the US in 1953 and quickly became a crowd favourite.
Affectionately known as ‘Frosties’, the Frosted Flakes have been available in many variants over the years. In 1997, for instance a cake flavoured version; the Birthday Confetti Frosted Flakes was launched. 2008 saw the launch of Frosted Flakes Gold, which were a honey flavoured variant. In 2013, Frosted Flakes Chocolate became permanently available.
Cinnamon Frosted Flakes Became A Reality
Now, Kellogg’s has launched the Cinnamon Frosted Flakes as a response to social media requests.
“We started to really notice it over the last couple of years,’’ says Brad Schwan, Kellogg’s senior director, morning foods marketing. “We’d see fans on Twitter talking about how cinnamon would be so terrific on Frosted Flakes and we really started to listen.’’
