Cham Chams, Rossogollas and Gulab Jamuns. The sound of a heart melting.
KC Das makes sure you look up in awe as soon as you get there.
A million white and pale yellow madka pots make up the decor. On the right is a crowd-pleaser and a selfie spot with “KC Das” written in various languages of the states they’re in. There’s a seating area on the mezzanine with brightly coloured chairs for a modest crowd.
Let’s get to the ‘sweet’ ending. There’s a reason people say ‘happiness comes in small packages’. This ‘happiness’ is a milk sweet from KC Das. At first, it may be a little overwhelming, for someone who’s standing there drooling at all the sweets, to pick just one. But then again, you just can’t go wrong with these folks. Pick anything, it will melt your heart anyway. Sandeshs, Kshir Kadams and Kesar Cham Chams are our must-trys’ list. Extra-special mentions, of course, to Rossogollas and Rasmalais. Apart from the regular sweet shop pick-me-ups’, KC offers Turkish Delights and Badam Crushes. Samosas and Cutlets are also on offer.
For the person who’s running around in circles looking for the place on College Road: It’s in between Hyderabadi Biriyani Corner and Sama Home Store.
