Bollywood queen Kareen Kapoor Khan is turning 38 today and she doesn’t look a day older! She is one of the most successful superstars of the country and has always given us fitness goals even before and after her pregnancy. In fact it took her only a few months to get back in shape, after Taimur was born, and resume her shooting for Veere De Wedding. She has also been through the size zero phase during her movie ‘Tashan’ and has always shared her diet and fitness mantras on various press events.
She has been part of a nutrition documentary film – Indian Food Wisdom and her Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar revealed at the launch of the documentary that she loves her hot plate of dal and rice at home with desi ghee! Ghee is now recommended by nutritionists worldwide. Contrary to the common belief, you need not eliminate this healthy fat from your diet. It is low on the Glycaemic Index and makes sure your blood sugar levels are regulated. For Kareena too, ghee is “glamorous”. Even during pregnancy, she enjoyed her regular dal and parathas with a spoonful of ghee.
“My dadi ji is 85 and she has been having ghee since she was two years old. She has maintained her weight through her 20s and eighties, she is fit as a fiddle, she is walking around, her knees haven’t given way,” Kareena revealed in a press event.
