Join Kolapasi As They Pack Up Some Hot Meals For Flood Affected Victims In Chennai

on

The rains have, once again, come upon us here in Chennai, proving to be more destructive than ever. Floods have emerged again, not just displacing many, but leaving the victims hungry and lost. Many areas of the city have been hit quite hard, with a lot of residential areas facing severe water logging, making it hard for people to step out. The rains have affected the lives of many in the city, with most of them wondering where their next meal will come from. Kolapasi, Chennai’s most-loved biriyani take away outlet, has risen, winning hearts again, to help people who are going hungry, by distributing meals to flood affected victims.

Making news today:

Since 4am this morning, the team at Kolapasi have been hard at work, making over 2,ooo boxes of food today to be distributed to flood affected victims. To make sure they have the entire kitchen space to focus on preparing food and feeding the hungry, Kolapasi closed all their outlets for the day. Over the last 3 days, a whopping 9,000 boxes have been made and set across the city. There is a demand for 10,000 boxes as of now and the team is very confident that they can fulfil this as they encourage people across to city to sponsor the food for victims. The food distributed consists of Rava Kichidi and Rava Upma, which are making their way through villages in ECR and more localities slowly. “This is what Kolapasi really means,” said Santhosh of Kolapasi over a quick chat earlier today.
