It’s Tea Time! Popular Tea Room Chaayos Will Soon Open Its First Café In Mumbai
Despite multiple coffee chains having sprung up across the country, chai remains the drink that is closest to the Indian heart. We drink chai first thing in the morning, enjoy a cup of tea with colleagues at work and down yet another cup for a burst of energy in the mid afternoon. It’s surprising then, that Mumbai doesn’t have a lot of sit down eateries that are dedicated purely to the world of tea.
Enter Chaayos, a ‘tea room’ that is just that, which will be opening in Bandra this Saturday. Already 9 outlets strong in Delhi, Chaayos was started in late 2012 as a venture to bring back and explore India’s heritage of chai. Chaayos serves over 25 varieties of chai with 12 add-ons that allow customers to customize their teas in over 12,000 ways. Their entire concept and menu highlights their motto; “Experiments with Chai.”
