Indian Culinary Institute’s Sprawling New Campus Inaugurated In Noida

On Monday, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, K. J. Alphons in presence of the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture and Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate change, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, inaugurated the Noida campus of the Indian Culinary Institute for launching culinary courses.

Attributing India’s rich gastronomic palette for the growth in tourism over the last one year, KJ Alphons wished that the institute, which has been conceived with the guidance and suggestions of great chefs from across the world, would prove to be one of the best in its category globally.

Indian Culinary Institute, Noida

Commissioned by the Government of India, ICI, which is a state-of-the-art institution, offers various courses ranging from Diploma, Under Graduate, and Post Graduate to research in Culinary Arts. The graduate and postgraduate courses will commence from July this academic year.

Meanwhile, the sprawling 231,308 square acre campus situated in Sector-62, Noida will also feature a state of the art “Indian Culinary Museum” where the rich historical and diversified culinary objects and other literature will be displayed. This museum also holds the potential of providing a unique platform for preserving the Indian culinary heritage.

This inauguration of the institute’s new campus comes shortly after the India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. (ITDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jamia Millia Islamia, to jointly offer a Three-year Bachelors of Vocation (B.Voc) in Food Production and One year Diploma in Hospitality through The Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management (AIH&TM). 2018 is proving to be an increasingly fruitful year for aspirants looking to enter the F&B and hospitality industry.
