Iconic Cream Centre At Chowpatty Gets A Lavish Makeover

on

The wall that overlooked the Girgaum Chowpatty now only gives a peek of the street thus giving the diners privacy and yet not taking from the view. The lighting is bright and the wooden decor brings all the glam that a legendary restaurant needs. Along with the ambience and decor, the menu at Cream Centre too has undergone a makeover as it vows to continue its vegetarian legacy.

Mumbai’s Cream Centre Bistro

While retaining the classic dishes like Chole Bhatura and World’s Best Nachos, Cream Centre Bistro has added many exciting dishes on the menu. We tried the Tomato and Manchow Soup which were both tasty and we liked how the latter had just the right amount of spices. As we sipped on to an exquisite and refreshing Masala Milk Falooda, we were served our appetizers. We really liked the Paneer Chilli Bao and Karara Aloo Tikki Chaat. The potato was rustic and had a lovely crunch to it.

We tried the channa from the popular Channa Bhatura with the new addition, Amritsari Aloo Kulcha. The kulcha is absolutely heavenly and is served with a dollop of butter. We also liked the variation available in Bhatura which were spinach and beetroot. We couldn’t wait for our desserts even though we were quite full. The reason was that Chef Siddharth had told us that the ice-creams available here were from Ice Cream Works by Cream Centre. We opted for the King Alphonso and Magai Meetha Paan Sundae. These ice-creams are simply amazing and are a must have.

The newly refurbished Cream Centre has a lot to offer and even has a separate counter for tea and coffee. We took a lovely matcha tea after our dinner to wash it down. Walk down this iconic place soon for there’s lots to look forward to.
