Paper Boat, which is much loved across India for its unique, ethnic drinks, plans to foray into the packaged food market. Following the same approach as the beverages Paper Boat manufactures, these packaged foods will focus on traditional and ethnic Indian snacks.

Reverse Seasonality

Commenting on the move, Hector Beverages (which is the parent company of paper boat) co-founder Neeraj Kakkar said “Foods will give us reverse seasonality. Beverages have high traction in summer; we hope to keep growth momentum with foods through the year.”

Kakkar also said that the foods will be made using ingredients which are fair trade certified and that Paper Boat will try to create its own niche of products.

The products are expected to be launched next month.
