Any ardent follower of Gordon Ramsay would be aware of the chef’s stark dislike for pizza with pineapple. On several occasions, the restaurateur and food expert has not abstained from expressing his views on Hawaiian pizza, a.k.a. pineapple pizza. And just when we thought he was done hating on the food, he want on yet another rant to roast the pizza.
The chef recently proclaimed that despite his dislike for the fruity pizza, he’d have it for charity. In return, all he asked for was 500 donations to the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation that raises funds for a London children’s hospital. And true to his word, he did! Gordon Ramsay fed himself a slice of pineapple-laden pizza. And needless to say, it wasn’t exactly a pleasant experience for Ramsay.
During a Facebook Live on his page, Ramsay dug into the pizza, whilst apologizing to his fellow chefs for the food felony he was about to commit. His reaction? Well according to Ramsay, “the only thing Hawaiian about the pizza was that it should be thrown in the ocean”. That said, he went on to eat the pizza, saying, ”this isn’t a pizza, this is a mistake”.
