Here’s How Obama & Bourdain’s Dinner In Vietnam Has Been Memorialized

on

Remembered that time when former POTUS Barrack Obama and television show host Anthony Bourdain casually went for a night out in Hanoi, Vietnam. The two were captured enjoying some chilled beer and chatting over bowls of traditional Vietnamese bún chå.

Two years after that totally cool boys night out with America’s 44th President and the Parts Unknown host dined in Hanoi, the restaurant has memorialized the duo’s dinner in a truly unique way.

Bourdain took to Instagram to share an image of Bún chả Hương Liên restaurant’s gesture, captioning the image saying “Not sure how to feel about this.” And it is not something one would usually do to memorialize something, like a plaque or a framed picture. The restaurant put the table that Obama and Bourdain dined at in one big glass case. Complete with two plastic stools, cutlery, plates, napkins, bowls, and beer bottles, here’s what the memorial looks like.

Well, while the move is one that’s never seen before (or brought to social media’s attention), the restaurant sure could have come up with something more, well, less ostentatious and space saving. And we’re only praying that they washed those chopsticks and beer bottles (or used new ones) before putting them up for display.
