Helen Mirren Already Knows What Her Last Meal Is Going To Be

Do you know what you’re going to have for breakfast tomorrow? Do you know what you’re going to have for lunch next week? And what about dinner next month? No? Well, looks like we all need to take notes from Helen Mirren because the British actor has already picked out her last meal. Yep, the very last.

While a number of famous personalities have been known for iconic last meals, Mirren is one who has let the world know in advance of her “last supper”. So what’s it going to be? Well, it’s a fairly simple choice for the Prime Suspect actor, who wants the last food that she eats to be a loaded grilled cheese sandwich.

That’s right no fancy caviar, no expensive gold-plated sundaes, but the good ol’ cheesy and bread combo. During a red carpet interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star revealed that she is particularly fond of the melted cheese and toast pairing. However, it’s not only grilled cheese that Mirren holds close to her heart. She also has a special affinity for buffets and southern grubs.

“Every small town across the south of America, they’ve got these all-you-can-eat buffets for like $6.99 with this amazing Southern food like, you know, fried chicken, collard greens, mac and cheese, black-eyed peas, [and] the rice, dirty rice – fantastic,” the British actor said.
