Have A Drink In Your Orange Jumpsuits At This Prison-Themed Bar!

on

There is a new restaurant opening on Brick Lane in east London this month, and if you don’t know what’s so special about his pub, here’s something for you. Ever wondered how life in a prison will be like? It’s a prison themed bar and is modelled on Alcatraz, the prison that has housed some of the world’s most difficult and dangerous felons during its operation.

Alcotraz promises to bring an authentic prison experience to Brick Lane.  From the orange jumpsuits upon entrance to the cold metallic cells, Alcotraz becomes the perfect backdrop to enjoy a drink within an epic yet intimate environment. If you ever walk into this pub, refrain yourself from asking for a menu, it is a prison! You can’t demand what you want!

The pop-up bar is giving those “convicts” or customers, the opportunity to smuggle their own spirits past the “prison guards” and into the “jail,” where their stash will be shaken into “bespoke, personalised cocktails made by an expert mixologist.”

If you check out their website, you can see that there is a letter from Inmate #88, who’s been stuck inside for so long that he thinks that opening a bar in a prison is a good idea. The inmate writes that while prison life is hard, the guards have let him keep his collection of homemade syrups, juices and bitters from his life on the outside or as he calls, previous life. He promises to “fix you up something that really tickles your fancy” (as long as you have the alcohol).

So, even if you can’t afford a trip to London just to check out the place, you can always check out their website over here!
