Treacle tart, a British shortcut pastry made with treacle, lemon and breadcrumbs.

Treacle tarts are a popular dessert during Great Hall feasts at Hogwarts. Harry likes it so much that he gets the smell of it whenever he’s near Amortentia.

Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan you need to try this recipe; it’ll go a long way in warding off the Monday blues.

Instructions
  1. Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place the pie crust pastry in a pie pan.
  3. Whisk together the syrup, breadcrumbs, cream, lemon zest and lemon juice.
  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the filling sets.
  5. Take out of the oven and allow to cool.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
