Gordon Ramsay Is A Meat-Eating Member Of PETA, Here’s How

on

After garnering much praise after shedding a huge chunk of weight and getting back in shape, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is trending on social media yet again albeit completely different reason. Responding to a fan’s request, which asked him to judge a dish they’d made, Ramsay relied on his burn-with-your-tweet tactics and it did not go down too well with a lot of people.

“I’m a member of PETA! People eating tasty animals……,” the chef tweeted replying to an image of a vegan lasagna posted by a tweeter.

While the Hell’s Kitchen host meant it as a joke, PETA (which actually stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) took it upon itself to correct Ramsay’s behavior. The replied on the chef’s thread pointing out that they’d “heard that old line before” and that Ramsay too might in the future become a PETA member. Further, referring to the chef’s popular show, the organization’s Twitter handle also added that a “real ‘hell’s kitchen’ is full of corpses & secretions from artificially inseminated, castrated, & routinely abused animals.”

PETA’s moral policing sparked off a debate on Twitter with one half supporting Ramsay’s right to eat and tweet whatever he wanted and the rest propagating the pros of going vegan. Take a look.

Now, we’re all for the safety and well-being of animals, do we really need such moral policing at every step of the way? Or should we simply abide by the “live and let live” motto? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
