Google Makes Dining Out & Ordering In Easier With New Mobile Features

on

Life just got doused in multitudes of easy with Google’s new mobile feature. The website will give you a few newer options to make your experience a rosy one. You can place an order or book a table without switching between apps.

Now when you search for a nearby restaurant you will see a few newer options in addition to the restaurant’s contact info, address, et al. The two additions include a ‘Place an order’ and a ‘Find a Table’ option. When you click on these, you’ll be automatically redirected to Zomato or Swiggy (for ordering in) and Dineout or Bytplus (for eating out).

It might not seem like much, but it makes browsing through different services a lot easier. I repeat, you can skip out the app switching exercise completely!

These new Google Search services are available on Android as well as iOS (so no discrimination there). These features are just rolling out and we’ll be adding more partners and evolving the look and feel over time, Google said in its blog.

Previously the company had integrated Ola and Uber services with Google Maps to show taxi fares and cab availabilities nearby.
