Good or Bad: What Do You Think Of McD’s Snow Carb Sandwich? #POLL

on

McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish may soon get another fishy partner on the menu. If an on-going trial goes well, then a number of McD outlets in California will be rolling out a snow carb sandwich. As Refinery29 reports, a franchisee in the Bay Area got permission from McDonald’s to test the sandwich out as a trial in four restaurants in San Jose, CA. If it’s a success, it could expand to 250 other restaurants in the region.

The sandwich, which has been created in collaboration with Top Chef contestant Ryan Scott, packs an Atlantic snow crab, celery, and seasoned mayonnaise, plus lettuce, tomato, and a sourdough bun for $8.99, which may come off as little steep considering McDonald’s average rate chart.

“After the overwhelming success of our local favorite, McDonald’s Gilroy Garlic Fries, we wanted to test our own take on the beloved crab sandwich,” Nick Vergis, McDonald’s Co-op President, San Francisco Bay Area, said in a statement. “We’re excited for our customers to try it and share their feedback.”

What’s your take on it though? Do you think the Snow Crab sandwich is a good idea? Will it take off with the consumers?
