According to a report by F&B News, Cargill’s Gemini Sunflower Oil is lending support to Swasth Bharat Yatra to promote nutrition. The initiative comes under Eat Right India Movement by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). To carry this feat the oil brand will be an exclusive partner of Track 3, a cycling rally from Bengaluru to Pune in which 150 volunteer cyclists will be participating.
Cycling To Promote Nutrition
Along with the cyclists, the Eat Right Mobile Unit and the Mobile Food Testing Unit would also be travelling throughout the nation with the cyclists. Passing through many states, the aim of the rally would be to create awareness about food safety, food adulteration and eating healthy food. The oil brand would be spreading the message of adopting a healthy and safe diet along with consumption of fortified food.
“This partnership is a perfect association for us as it furthers Cargill’s purpose of nourishing the world in a safe, responsible and sustainable manner,” said Milind Pingle, sales and marketing director, Cargill’s food business in India while talking to F&B News. “Gemini Sunflower Oil stands for good health and well-being, which is perfectly in sync with FSSAI’s Eat Right India movement. As the pioneer in oil fortification, we strongly advocate the importance of right nutrition and through this association, will be raising public awareness on the importance of eating right and leading a healthy lifestyle,” he added.
