Gautam Gambhir Gifts Delhi A New Community Kitchen

on

After proving to be a rock-steady cricket player by not just Indian but also global sports standards, Gautam Gambhir has turned his attention to more socially sensitive causes off the field. The cricketer has kicked of a campaign – under the umbrella of his foundation, Gautam Gambhir Foundation (GGF) – that aims at feeding the poor and underprivileged.

The New Delhi-based cricketer has taken the initiative of setting up a community kitchen in the Capital that’ll serve food to the hungry absolutely free of cost.

Gambhir took to social media to announce this noble deed. He wrote: “Won World Cups, Won IPLs, beaten https://opponents. Now time 2 win hearts & beat hunger. Community Kitchen #1 by Gautam Gambhir Foundation”.

While the 35-year-old is still en route eradicating hunger, the Kolkata Knight Riders captain has definitely won a dozen hearts. Fans, celebrities, and fellow cricketers including the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Shah Rukh Khan have come out in support of Gambhir and his initiative, taking to Twitter to express their heartfelt love and encouragement.

The kitchen, which has been set up in West Patel Nagar’s Main Market, will be functional every day during the afternoon hours, from 1pm to 3pm.
