How To Freeze Bananas For Smoothies and Breads

The first thing we do when we see an overripe banana is to throw it away. But wait. They can be used for something else. They can be turned into to this perfect material that you can use to make a smoothie. Dont worry about the black spots on them, because the spottier ones would have more flavour. We will tell you how to freeze them properly so that you can just take them out of the refrigerator anytime you want to make a smoothie.

Step 1:  Take the overripe bananas and peel all of them.

Step 2: Slice them into small pieces. It is always better to make the pieces smaller because it would be easier to blend them in the blender.

Step 3: Here, you need to place them in a single layer on a wax paper lined rimmed sheet pan. Make sure that you dont just throw them into the freezer safe bag without freezing them first. Or else, you wold have a huge frozen chunks of banana chunks which will be difficult to separate.

Step4 : Now that its frozen, we need to transfer these them into freeze safe bags. And they are ready to be stored away.
