Back in 2003, India’s premier food magazine, UpperCrust put together the UpperCrust Food & Wine Show, an event that exhibited the best that the food world had to offer. The show went on to become an annual event, featuring new innovations and a variety of food personalities each year. This weekend, Mumbai says hello to the event again at the World Trade Center (WTC) jn Cuffe Parade.
The event will be inaugurated this Friday by Farah Khan, and will host 150 exhibitors showcasing a variety of types of food such as exotic or imported fruits, cheese, meat products, ingredients such as flavourings and condiments, kitchen equipment as well as beverages, wines and spirits. Each year thousands of people from Mumbai, India and even abroad make it a point to attend the event. Many of the attendees include restaurateurs, chefs, wine connoisseurs and gourmands. This year, the show will be hosting a variety of top chefs including Chef Jaydeep Mukherjee (of Indigo Deli), Marissa Bronfman, who launched the all vegan Bowl Bar and Chef Sahil Singh from Massive Restaurants. These chefs will be hosting master classes and sharing culinary secrets on the WTC Lawns through the event.
‘Attendees can also look forward to a food courtyard spread across the WTC lawns that will be selling a variety of foods and hosting a wine shack. On Saturday evening, visitors can enjoy a live performance by Sonali and Roopkumar Rathod while they feast!
