The team behind Yauatcha India paired up with the folks at Ballantines Whisky and embarked on a journey to the Ging Tea House, Darjeeling, to conjure a new tea blend. Through numerous tea tastings, interacting with the people behind the tea production and picking the best leaves of tea, the team came up with the final product – an aromatic brew which is the best companion to the dim sum at Yauatcha.
The Golden Ging Cocktail that is a part of the Supreme Taste of Yauatcha experience is a concoction of passion fruit puree, ginger juice, lemon juice, orange bitters, Ballantine’s finest whisky infused with second flush Darjeeling tea and ginger ale.
The Golden Ging Cocktail is served as a part of the Supreme Taste of Yauatcha set menu that includes Yauatcha’s signature dishes designed specifically to sit back and enjoy a hearty meal amidst the beautiful interiors of the restaurant. Accompanied with a beverage or cocktail, this five course menu will be served Monday to Saturday between 12 noon to 7 pm with an option of vegetarian or regular and comprises of soup, salad, dim sum, stir-fry and a dessert.
Start off the set course meal with the light but wholesome Hot and sour soup with mushroom or shredded chicken, followed by our signature crunchy Mixed salad with lotus root. Guests can choose two baskets from a myriad of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options such as the Vegetarian poached Peking dumpling, Shiitake mushroom dumpling, Pork char sui bun or the signature Har gau. Choose from mains like Mabo tufu, Stri-fry lotus root, asparagus and water chestnut, Kung pao chicken or Steamed India seabass in spicy black bean sauce accompanied with Asparagus fried rice, Egg fried rice with long bean or the Ho fan noodles with chicken. Enjoy your mains with a potent cocktail like our newly introduced Golden Ging Cocktail with Ballantines finest or Orange and Chilli.
