Enjoy The White Owl’s Best Brews Across Mumbai

Over the past few years, Mumbai has been falling deeper and deeper in love with craft beers and the craft beer culture thanks to the multitude of brew-pubs which have opened their doors across the city. One of our favourites is The White Owl Brewery & Bistro, a quirky space in Lower Parel with magnificent brewing machines giving the restaurant an authentic charm.

The White Owl is a popular destination for many of the corporates who work in the area. Every evening, you see them shrug off their jackets, loosen their ties and enjoy the bar’s signature brews.

Some of our favorites are the Ace, a French apple cider with a slight fizz and the Torpedo, an American pale ale with a strong citrus flavor.

The White Owl Spreads It Wings

However, on the weekend when you’re not traveling to Lower Parel for work and yet find yourself craving a cool, refreshing mug of The White Owl’s signatures, what are you to do? Do you have to schlepp all the way to Lower Parel, through rain (which bizarrely, is still going strong) and shine?

Not necessary. The best White Owl brews are available across the city at a collection of other eateries in areas like Malad, Powai, Vashi, Khar, BKC, Juhu, Andheri and even as far as Belapur.

Tasting The Talk

We saw evidence of The White Owl’s travels at Palladium Mall’s T.G.I’s Friday’s. The upbeat bar had three White Owl brews on the menu; the Diablo, the Belgian Wit and the Halycon.

We began with the Diablo, a smooth Irish red ale with a faintly sweet flavor and the Spark which is a Belgian Wit with a citrusy tinge. Finally, we had a couple of glasses of the Halycon, which is a German Hefeweizen with a light body and a spiced flavour.

To make things even better, the beers arrived in the trademark White Owl glasses wit thick rims and a quirky, studious looking owl on the front.
