To commemorate International Chef Day this year, the Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) organised the 13th Annual Chef Awards 2016 at The Ashok hotel to honour chefs for their contribution to the hospitality industry.

New Delhi-based ace Chef Rajan Loomba, who is the Senior Executive Chef at The Ashok, took home the prestigious ICF Golden Hat Award for his exceptional contribution to the culinary world. It was a double whammy for The Ashok as Chef Jitender doubled the celebration for The Ashok by winning ‘The Kitchen Artist Award’ in the Trade Test Category.pic-mr-rajan-loomba-sr-executive-chef-the-ashokreceiving-award-from-shri-v-k-duggal

“The 13th Annual Chef Awards for best chef is a strong validation of my professional capabilities developed during my association of almost three decades with ITDC and specially Hotel Ashok”, Chef Loomba said as he was felicitated by Shri VK Duggal, former Director General Tourism, Government of India and International Tourism Advisor.

“Winning the 13th Annual Chef Award is a great experience and a prestigious one. Indian Culinary Forum is the most prestigious and recognized platforms for our fraternity across the country. I also believe that Awards always help in bringing out young talent, and 13th Annual Chef Awards is the perfect way to do it”, he added.

The Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) in association with the apex body – Indian Federation of Culinary Associations and World Association of Chef Societies, hosts the awards annually. The main objective of the Chef Summit is to provide a space and platform to share knowledge, ideas and experiences and discuss developments in the Indian food industry.
