An Edible Operation Board Game Now Exists And It’s The Real Deal

on

The one time I got my hands on an Operation board game when I was a kid, I realized (much to my chagrin) that I was never going to be a doctor. It’s been 17 years since I gave up my dream of being a doctor, but finally, there’s something to cheer about. An edible Operation board game now exists and I feel as if my doctor dreams haven’t faded away just yet.

Food scientist Ann Reardon from the YouTube series How To Cook That has created a fully-functioning Operation cake that kids can both play with and eat. She uses a plethora of sweet ingredients including chocolate, cake, jam, and Twizzlers to bring this classic game to life.

During the creation of the sugary pastime, Reardon wires the cake to replicate the voices and buzzing sounds Operation is famous for. The wiring, obviously, is the only part of the dessert that shouldn’t be eaten. The best part? She shows you exactly how to make it!

Essentially, if you follow the instructions to the tee, you’ll be able to make your own edible Operation board game! Looks like my days as a doctor are far from over! Dr. George is back in business!
