Eat Play Love Is The Festival You Need To Be At This Weekend If You Love Food

on

If you haven’t got plans this weekend, and if you’re an absolute food junkie, we’d suggest you pay a visit to Mahalaxmi’s Turf Club. Over the next two days, the Turf Club will be hosting Eat Play Love, the city’s latest cultural festival, spearheaded by Percept Live and The Eat India Company.

What’s To Eat?

The festival will bring together food trucks, home chefs, established restaurants, cocktail mixologists, ice cream makers and even an outdoor barbecue pit.

Some well-known names offering food at the festival will be Kolkata Konnection, Loco Chino, Seedy Smoothies, The French Spatula, McDonald’s, Saucery, Sushi and More and LivRite’s Beelicious honey.

Rumor has it that celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani will be gracing the festival.

Time To Play

After you’re done stuffing your face – or while you’re in the process of it, you can wander through the other ‘play’ areas. These will include zones dedicated to art, photography and adventure sports as well as life performances by artists like Vetronica, The Other People and Baba Sehgal.

“While there are many festivals today, they cater to specific genres and are skewed to a sub sect of the city’s population thereby ending up being either too localised or being limited in their offering. We aim to build and deliver on the 360 degree experience by reflecting on the diversity and spirit of each city and its citizens,” Chandni Dhall, partner Eat Pray Love, said in a statement to the press.

If the festival sounds like your idea of a weekend well spent, head there tomorrow or day after.
